Police arrest Clarendon man

— On Jan. 4, at approximately 7:22 p.m., Vermont State Police troopers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Crescent Street in Rutland City. Police found the operator of a stopped motor vehicle, Demetrius Earle of Clarendon, was criminally suspended and a roadside investigation led to a search of the motor vehicle.

Police said Earle was found in possession of heroin, marijuana and a controlled narcotic.

He was arrested and lodged at the Marble Valley Correctional Facility for the violations, along with driving with a suspended license and a violation of conditions of release.
