Former governor to address volunteer event

— Former Vermont Gov. Madeleine Kunin (D) will be the keynote speaker at CVAA's Volunteer Recognition and Annual Meeting, Nov. 14, 4 p.m., at the Doubletree Hotel and Conference Center in South Burlington.

Kunin speech is titled, "Building a Coalition Between Our Children and Our Elders: Intergenerational Policies that Work."

Kunin was Vermont’s first woman governor. She served as U.S. deputy secretary of education and ambassador to Switzerland under Clinton.

CVAA volunteers deliver Meals on Wheels, provide companionship, deliver groceries, build ramps, and shovel snow to name just a few.

The CVAA neeting is free and open to the public but you must RSVP by calling 865-0360.
