Adopt A Pet - Make a Friend at the Rutland County Humane Society

It's that time of year and there's a chill in the air. The resident animals at the Rutland County Humane Society (RCHS) love to snuggle in and get nice and cozy while they're at the shelter so if you have any extra bedding for them that you could donate they would really appreciate it.

Old comforters, blankets, sheets or towels are perfect for them. There are a few donation bins outside the front door of the shelter on Stevens Road in Pittsford and you can drop them there whenever it's convenient for you.

If you have any questions please contact the shelter at 483-6700. Our thanks in advance.

JOLI - Rutland County Humane Society

JOLI

2 year old. Spayed Female. Red & White Shorthaired American Shelter Dog.

I am a lovely, submissive girl who greets everyone with soft wags. I am a bit timid of the world. . . I like it, I just don’t know much about it. I really like to spend time with people and will do best in a home where folks are around a lot. I lived with another dog in my previous home and I really enjoy dogs so I may make a good match if your dog is looking for a friend.

LULU - Rutland County Humane Society

LULU

4 year old. Spayed Female. Black & White American Shelter Dog.

I’m all wiggles and I can catch a ball like nobody’s business. I adore people and have a powerful capacity to bond. I am nicely housetrained, know SIT and love to play with toys and squeakies. I have lived with children before and I am terrific with the kids of the people who work here, gentle and will save you money on handiwipes because I love giving licks.

WILLOW - Rutland County Humane Society

WILLOW

1 year old. Spayed Female. Domestic Short Hair Black.

I am a super sweet petite girl who cannot wait to move into my forever home. I am a very well rounded girl who has lived with cats, dogs, and children of all ages. I am not very playful, actually those toys on the string really scare me. I really enjoy curling up on your lap for a little snooze. I can picture it now; you and I curled up by the fire on the cold winter nights.
