Hoops-for-kids program coming to Godnick Center

— Rutland Godnick Center Director Joan Olsen will teach the basic skills needed to play the game of basketball along with having fun. Kids can learn to dribble, pass and shooting during a 45 minute introduction to the world of basketball.

The special youth basketball clinic will begin Jan. 5 and run every Saturdays through Feb. 9 from 8-8:45 p.m.

Parents are encouraged to get involved and help out the staff! Registration fee is $43 for residents and $54 for non residents includes a t-shirt.

Register at the Godnick Adult Center or online at www.rutlandrec.com before Dec. 21 and receive a $10 discount.

Olsen will also teach the fundamentals of basketball. Practice your dribbling, passing and shooting along with some other important basketball skills like defending and some basic offensive moves. Beginning Jan. 5 and running every Saturday though Feb. 23 at 10:30 a.m.

Registration fee is $51 for residents and $62 for non residents includes t-shirt.
