Pair arrested in Champlain Farms theft

On Jan. 31, Vermont State Police in New Haven conducted a search warrant at a residence on Buttolph Road in Shoreham. As a result of the warrant, stolen property from Champlain Farms in Middlebury was recovered. The two accused, Sidney Messick, 35, and Toni Bachand, 24, of Shoreham were transported back to the New Haven Barracks and processed and released on citations to appear in Addison Superior Court.

Man stopped for speeding, DUI

Vermont State Police stopped driver Nathan Redmond, 28, of Vergennes on Plank Road in New Haven for speeding Jan. 26. Redmond was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was processed for DUI at the New Haven State Police Barracks and subsequently released with a citation to appear at the Addison Criminal Division for DUI.

Police investigate domestic assault

Vermont State Police are investigating a domestic assault incident which took place in Starksboro Jan. 24. Andrew E. Bisonnette, 22, allegedly assaulted a victim on Route 17, according to police. Bisonnette is on active conditions of release which he violated. Prior to VSP arrival on the scene, Bisonnette fled the residence and could not be located. VSP are currently attempting to locate Bisonnette to take him into custody. Anyone with information is asked to contact Vermont State Police New Haven Trooper Andrew Leise at 1-802-388-4919. Police allege woman had heroin

Vermont State Police stopped driver Samantha Morin, 29, of Monkton Jan. 23 for speeding on Plank Road in New Haven. During the stop, Morin was found to be in possession of heroin and suboxone. Morin was cited into the Addison Criminal Division for possession of heroin and possession of a regulated substance. She was subsequently released.
