Adopt A Pet - Make a Friend at the Humane Society

Are you looking for an afternoon of doggie tail waggin' fun? If so, we have the perfect event for you. Red Dog Solutions is hosting "For the Love of Dogs", a canine variety show to benefit the Rutland County Humane Society (RCHS).

Come see dogs dancing to music, performing tricks and great feats of agility and intelligence.

It will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 1 p.m., at the Diamond Run Mall, next to Old Navy. $10 donation to benefit RCHS. Kids are free. Your attendance will automatically enter you into a drawing for a beautiful, unique dog collage created by Stephanie Rost - Color of Vermont.

TILLA - Rutland County Humane Society

One and a half year old. Spayed Female. American Shelter Dog.

I am a big lug of a dog with lots of different sides to my personality. Even though I look big and tough, the staff here has seen that the kennels really scare me with all the barking and banging. For the first year and a half of my life I lived in a home with other cats and dogs and kids aged 10 and up. I am house trained and know “sit”, “down”, and “stay”. A favorite way for me to pass the time is chewing rawhides, and I do mean chewing. I got through a big one really fast.

CARLEY - Rutland County Humane Society

Twelve year old. Spayed Female. Domestic Long Hair Calico.

I am a beautiful long haired princess ready for a loving family to call my own. I would really enjoy my golden years being treated like the queen that I really am. Sometimes I am not a huge fan of other cats so the prefect home for me would probably be as an only kitty. I am a loving girl but I do let you know when I have had enough attention, all princesses need their beauty rest after all.
