St. Mary's Spelling Bee's 1st place champ moves on to state competition

— St. Mary’s School in Middlebury held its annual St. mary’s School Spelling Bee. The winners, after 27 rounds: First place: Liam Wagner (5th grade), snd place: Thomas Wolosinski (6th grade), and third place: Maggie Lane (4th grade).

In the 27th round, the winning word: “eiderdown”.

Wagner will compete in the Vermont Statewide Spelling Bee at St. Michael’s College in mid-March, where it will be determined who goes onto Washington for the National Spelling Bee.
